A public oral defense of the thesis is required after its completion.

Those electing to write a thesis must complete six hours of MATH 5000.

If a student chooses the thesis/project option, the student must seek a thesis advisor among the faculty in the student's decipline area and then conduct research under the guidance of the faculty advisor.

All our graduate theses are archived in the Master's Thesis Collection at the University libaray.

This collection houses the Master's theses produced by the CSUN Department of Anthropology's graduate students.

More Master's theses can also be found in the Electronic Theses and Dissertations Community.However, the title, extent, and grade of the Master’s Thesis are detailed in the degree certificate.The Thesis is a research task which normally takes about 5-6 months to complete.One copy of the written report must be submitted to the Mathematics Department's graduate director.Copies of reports are on display in the Mathematics Department lounge.All rights are reserved unless otherwise indicated by the copyright owner(s).The Master's Thesis (20, 30, 36 or 40 ECTS depending on the Master's Degree Programme) is a mandatory part of a Master's Degree.One copy of the thesis must also be submitted to the Mathematics Department's graduate director.Copies of Master's theses are on display in the Mathematics Department lounge.The objective is to equip students with skills and knowledge to engage in scientific research.The student must show that s/he is able to use academic source material and construct scientific arguments.
